What is MT4?

MetaTrader 4 is a free Windows trading program that brokers give their customers. You log in with the account number and password your broker issues. An Expert Advisor (EA) is the trading program that runs inside MetaTrader 4 and places or manages trades on the account. Wavqu is delivered as one: the Wavqu EA, a single file named Wavqu.ex4 that you download from your Setup page. Plain-language definitions are on the beginners page.

What do I need before paying?

Four things: a broker account that trades BTCUSD on MetaTrader 4 and allows hedging (which brokers); the account number from that terminal; MT4 for Windows running on a PC that stays on, or on a VPS; and a card for the subscription. Have the account number ready, because the licence is issued for that number.

Does the site hold trading funds?

No.

Your money stays in your broker account. The subscription pays for the strategy service only. Our server sends signed instructions; the Wavqu EA in your own terminal places the trades. We cannot deposit, withdraw or move your funds.

What does the deposit limit mean?

It limits how much of your own money is in the trading account, not how much it grows.

Deposits use up your allowance. Realised losses and withdrawals restore it. Trading profit never changes it. Each plan has a deposit limit (Starter 2,000) (Standard 5,000) (Pro 10,000), one number in your MT4 account's deposit currency (GBP, USD or EUR), with no exchange-rate conversion. Your allowance starts from your account balance when the Wavqu EA first checks in after you subscribe; from then on deposits use it up, and withdrawals and realised losses restore it. Your dashboard shows the limit, the allowance used and the available deposit allowance.

Ultimate has an unlimited deposit allowance: deposits never pause new baskets on Ultimate, whatever the account balance. Ultimate has no deposit limit; it does not mean unlimited trading exposure or removed risk controls. The Wavqu EA still reports your deposits, withdrawals and closed trades, and the dashboard still shows the allowance used. If you later move from Ultimate to a plan with a deposit limit, that limit is applied at the end of your paid period to the allowance used since the EA first checked in.

If deposits exceed your allowance, new baskets pause until you withdraw the excess or upgrade; existing baskets continue under the bot's normal rules. Wavqu cannot block deposits at the broker.

Worked example: Starter, deposit limit 2,000
What happensAllowance usedAvailableNew baskets
The EA first checks in; the account balance is 1,5001,500500Allowed
Trading profit of 300 (profit never changes the allowance)1,500500Allowed
A trade closes with a 200 loss (realised losses restore allowance)1,300700Allowed
Withdraw 3001,0001,000Allowed
Deposit 1,200: over the limit by 2002,2000Paused
Withdraw 200 (or upgrade to a higher limit)2,0000Allowed again

While new baskets are paused, baskets that are already open keep running under the bot's normal rules, including any grid or hedge trades the strategy requires, and close as they normally would. Only closed trades count: open (floating) profit or loss does not. Credits and bonuses from the broker are not deposits. For the figures to be complete, MT4 must show the whole account history: open the Account History tab, right-click it and choose All History. These are account eligibility limits, not recommended investment amounts.

What if my deposits go over the allowance?

New baskets pause. Baskets that are already open continue under the bot's normal rules.

Wavqu cannot block deposits at the broker. If deposits take you over your plan's deposit limit, the Wavqu EA does not start a new basket, including follow-on entries, until you withdraw the excess or upgrade to a plan with a higher limit. Open baskets keep running exactly as before, including any grid or hedge trades the strategy requires, and close as they normally would. Your dashboard shows the amount over the limit, and we e-mail you once when it happens and once when new baskets can start again. If your dashboard says deposit reporting needed, new baskets are paused until the Wavqu EA can report your funding reliably, while open baskets keep running as normal. The dashboard tells you the fix: update the Wavqu EA, or in MT4 open the Account History tab, right-click it and choose All History, or wait a few minutes for the EA to finish reporting. The Ultimate plan has no deposit limit and is never paused for deposits.

What does Ultimate's unlimited deposit allowance mean?

Ultimate has no deposit limit; it does not mean unlimited trading exposure or removed risk controls.

On Ultimate, deposits, your starting balance and the state of your deposit reporting never pause new baskets. Everything else is the same as on every plan: the same strategy, the same lot sizing, the same local safety net, one MT4 account, and the same licence, payment and account-currency checks. Your deposits, withdrawals and closed trades are still recorded and shown on your dashboard. Ultimate has no introductory offer. If you move from Ultimate to another plan, the change applies at the end of your paid period; the new plan's deposit limit is then compared with your allowance used since the Wavqu EA first checked in, and if it is over, new baskets pause (open baskets continue) until you withdraw the excess or upgrade again.

Which account currencies are supported?

GBP, USD and EUR for the initial release.

Your MT4 account's deposit currency must be one of GBP, USD and EUR. You declare it when you link your account, and the Wavqu EA reports it with every check-in. If the EA reports any other currency, the server sends no instructions and your dashboard shows “Account currency needs review. Contact support.” Accounts in other currencies need review before subscribing, so contact support first.

How does billing work?

Monthly, 6 months or annual. Longer intervals are charged upfront and cost less per month. Card plans renew automatically until you cancel. Each renewal is charged 7 days before your current access ends, and every payment buys one full period of access, so you never pay for the same days twice and no days are free.

For example: subscribe to a monthly plan on 1 October and your access runs to 1 November; the next payment is taken on 24 October, 7 days before, and buys the month from 1 November. The same rule applies to 6-month and annual plans: the renewal is charged 7 days before the period you paid for ends. We e-mail you 3 days before every renewal charge with the amount and the date. Your dashboard always shows the next charge date and the date your access runs to.

Prices are in USD: Starter $100/month, $575 for 6 months (save 4%), $1,100 for a year (save 8%); Standard $250/month, $1,375 for 6 months (save 8%), $2,625 for a year (save 13%); Pro $500/month, $2,625 for 6 months (save 13%), $5,000 for a year (save 17%); Ultimate $1,000/month, $5,250 for 6 months (save 13%), $10,000 for a year (save 17%). Savings are against paying monthly for the same number of months. New customers can take the first Starter month for $50 (monthly billing only, once per customer and per MT4 account); it then renews at $100/month.

Plans rank Starter, Standard, Pro, Ultimate. Moving to a higher plan or a longer billing interval takes effect immediately; the prorated difference is charged today. A lower plan or a shorter interval applies on your next charge date, 7 days before your current access ends; you keep your current plan until then. A mix, such as Standard annual to Pro monthly, counts as going down.

Can I change my account number?

Yes, once every 30 days.

Change it on your dashboard. The licence key stays the same and moves to the new number; the old number stops being accepted. The dashboard shows when the next change is allowed.

What happens when a payment fails?

If a renewal payment fails, your access continues for the 7 days you have already paid for while Stripe retries your card, and your dashboard and an e-mail ask you to update it. Update the card in that time and access carries on without a break. If the payment has still not gone through when your access ends, the EA stops receiving instructions until you subscribe again. No extra days are given.

Your dashboard shows a red banner with the number of days left and an “Update card” button that opens the Stripe billing portal. Open trades keep their take-profits and the local safety net throughout. Once a payment goes through, the same licence key is active again and your access runs on from where it was.

How do I cancel?

Cancel any time from your dashboard. Future charges stop and your access continues until the date you have paid to. No refund is made for the remainder.

From your dashboard, Cancel on the Billing tab schedules the cancellation in one step; the dashboard then shows the date your access ends. You can resume before your last charge date. Payment method & invoices opens the Stripe billing portal to change your card or download invoices.

Does cancellation close my trades?

No. New instructions stop at the end of the paid period.

Trades that are open at that point keep their take-profits and remain under the EA's local safety net while MT4 is running. If you want them closed sooner, close them in MT4 yourself.

Is performance guaranteed?

No.

Automated trading involves risk and you can lose money, including through gaps, broker outages and periods where the strategy does not suit the market. We publish no projected returns and make no promises about results. Only trade with money you can afford to lose.

Do I need a VPS?

Not necessarily, but MT4 must run continuously. If your Windows PC stays on and online around the clock, that is enough. If it sleeps, reboots for updates or loses its connection, the Wavqu EA cannot check in during that time. A Windows VPS from any provider avoids that; we do not sell or require a particular one.

Does my broker need to allow hedging?

Yes. The strategy opens a hedge.

At certain points it holds a buy and a sell on BTCUSD at the same time. Brokers that run netting accounts (where opposite orders cancel each other) are not compatible. Most MT4 brokers allow hedging; check your account type before subscribing.

Can I trade manually on the same account?

We recommend not to. Use a separate account for manual trades.

Manual trades on the same account share its margin. The broker's margin level and the strategy's own protections look at the whole account, so a manual position can push margin to the point where the broker closes positions or the strategy's equity protection closes the basket early. Manual trades also count towards your deposit allowance. Keep manual trading on a separate account.

How often does the Wavqu EA report to the server?

On every new 15-minute (M15) bar, and roughly every 2 seconds while it has open trades.

The first check-in is sent as soon as the EA is attached with AutoTrading on. After a failed call it retries every 10 seconds. Each check-in carries your account number, licence key, balance and currency; the reply is signed, and the EA executes only instructions whose signature verifies. If the server cannot be reached the EA changes nothing and keeps the broker-side take-profits.
